Opening of Loper Suites Adds 25 New Housing Units in Kearney

It’s just gotten a little easier to find an apartment in Kearney. Twenty-five, two-bedroom townhome and apartment units have been completed and are now for lease at Loper Suites on 14th Avenue near the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

“We built Loper Suites to help respond to a pronounced housing shortage in Kearney,” said Mark Benjamin, a partner in Kearney Community Development Association (KCDA), developers of the project. “We are excited to be able to offer new, safe, modern and energy-efficient apartments and townhomes to the community.”

Loper Suites was built with the assistance of tax increment funding (TIF) from Kearney’s Community Redevelopment Authority, which provided the aid as an incentive to encourage timely construction. BD Construction of Kearney was the contractor on the project.

“These are especially nice units with hardwood trim and upgraded detailing as well as extra sound insulation and resilient channels to minimize the noise and vibrations tenants hear from their neighbors,” Benjamin said. “All appliances, including the washer and dryer, stove, refrigerator and microwave, are included. There is also plenty of off-street parking, and it’s an ideal location for students and young families.”

Loper Suites is located at 2214 14th Ave. in Kearney. For pricing and other information or to arrange a showing, call 308-698-5677 or visit www.lopersuites.com.

Loper Suites will host a ribbon cutting at 5:00 pm on August 5.
