Executive Bill Reed Joins SCORR as Chief Marketing Officer
SCORR Marketing is pleased to announce that senior business executive Bill Reed, a Kearney native, has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO).
SCORR, a strategic marketing and public relations agency focused on market development through marketing communications, corporate identity/branding, media communications, advertising and interactive/Web design, will utilize Reed’s skills in organizational management and in the development and implementation of strategic marketing solutions as the company continues to develop its well-established global client base.
SCORR President Cinda Orr said the addition of Reed to SCORR’s leadership team positions the company for continued growth and success.
“Bill’s proven strategic marketing expertise is a vital asset for both our clients and our agency. We are thrilled to welcome a professional with the success and proficiency Bill has demonstrated in his previous work,” she said. Orr added that she was pleased SCORR could provide Reed and his family the opportunity to return home to the Kearney community.
Reed graduated from Kearney State College with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Throughout his career, Reed has fulfilled a number of executive roles, most recently serving as president of William Jefferies, an executive coaching firm in Denver. His prior experience includes his role as founder and CEO of GP Direct, vice president of marketing and public relations for Income Dynamics/Intuit, and as an investment partner of The Mutual Fund Store in Cleveland, Ohio.
Reed brings a wealth of executive accolades and leadership highlights. He has been interviewed on more than 60 radio programs, has appeared as a guest on CNN, Bloomberg Television and the WGN Chicago morning show, and his work has been featured in US News and World Report and the Wall Street Journal. Reed has also been the recipient of multiple industry awards, and was a recipient of “Top 25 Fastest Growing Businesses” awarded by the Omaha Area Chamber of Commerce during his tenure at GP Direct.
Reed’s wife, Lori, also a native of Kearney, is an RN with AseraCare Hospice.
