BD Construction Nears Completion of Projects for BD Medical Manufacturing Facility in Holdrege
(Kearney, NE; August 6, 2014) — BD Construction, Inc., one of the Midwest’s leading construction companies, announces construction progress on two projects for BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) at the global medical technology company’s BD Medical manufacturing facility in Holdrege, Neb. Work is well underway on construction of a parts crib as well as a cleanroom renovation project. BD Medical in Holdrege is not affiliated with BD Construction.

The parts crib is a new construction project, adding 14,000 square feet to the existing BD Medical facility, which is the world’s largest manufacturing site of insulin syringes for diabetes. The main level will accommodate four vertical storage units and a recycling center. The second level will feature office space, restrooms and conference rooms. This expansion is scheduled for completion in October 2014.
To create additional space for its employees, BD Medical also chose BD Construction to renovate an existing space. When completed, the renovation project will house an ISO cleanroom and office space.

The two projects are a result of a selective bid process for qualified local and national construction companies. BD Construction was granted both projects, and work began this spring.
