Prominis Medical Services Adds Research as Care for Patients Via Partnership

Prominis Medical Services, an outpatient medical clinic offering services across New York City, has partnered with Elligo Health Research, a healthcare-enabling research organization, to support research as a care option for its patients. The practice is currently enrolling for both a Type 2 diabetes study and a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) study at its Bedford-Stuyvesant location on Marcus Garvey Boulevard.

“We are committed to providing New York and its surrounding communities with quality, personalized care,” said Andras Fenyves, M.D., owner and medical director at Prominis Medical Services. “We have long believed in providing care where our patients are most comfortable, and with Elligo, we now have the ability to add to our range of services, offering state-of-the-art treatment options to our patients through participation in clinical research studies right here in our own practice.”

Elligo eases the burden of conducting research by providing healthcare experts and their staff with the tools necessary to conduct clinical research in an office setting. As part of the partnership, participating practices receive specialized training, critical infrastructure, and access to novel technology.

“We’re glad to support the hard work of the physicians at Prominis Medical Services,” said John Potthoff, Ph.D., CEO of Elligo Health Research. “Our model maintains the integrity of the trusted relationship between physicians and their patients and uses electronic health records to ensure all patients have access to clinical research as a care option.”

Elligo’s IntElligo Research Stack™ clinical technology and Goes Direct® approach engages physicians and patients who would otherwise not participate in clinical research, increasing enrollment and retention for study sponsors, and ultimately accelerating new treatments to market.
