Job Responsibilities

  • Edit written content and provide feedback to writers to achieve client-ready, on-strategy content
  • Copy edit marketing materials
  • Develop an intimate understanding of our clients, including their product/service features and benefits
  • Utilize and maintain (in coordination with proofreader) client style guidelines
  • Use and maintain SCORR templates; follow SCORR processes
  • Remain current on AP Style, grammatical trends, and client styles
  • Take ownership of your work; proofread copy and check for accuracy
  • Take on “special projects” as tasked


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, advertising, communications/PR, journalism, marketing, or related field
  • At least 4 years of prior copy editing experience
  • Familiarity with AP Style
  • Pick up on technical and scientific terms quickly; research and learn new industry, company, product, and/or technical knowledge developments of clients’ business
  • Prior experience in the health science space, copy editing marketing materials, or working for a marketing/PR agency are all helpful, but not required
