Associate Developer

Kearney, NE

SCORR Marketing is seeking a full-time associate developer in our Kearney office to join the interactive team. Our ideal candidate has an open mind, is a natural problem-solver, and is willing to learn while bringing forth their own ideas and solutions in our fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the lead developer as part of the interactive team
  • Assist team with the underlying technical architecture for websites, web applications, and other online content
  • Assist with troubleshooting and debugging websites and web applications
  • Assist with updating and modifying client websites
  • Manage the details of multiple projects at one time
  • Help coordinate projects with the client service and interactive teams to ensure on-time and on-budget deliverables
  • Strive to stay at the forefront of development and technology trends and emerging technologies
  • Create continued client loyalty through stellar creative and outside-the-box thinking that meets and exceeds client objectives
  • Create documentation, communicate changes, and organize and conduct organization training sessions as needed
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with team members


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, multimedia, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience with WordPress web frameworks
  • Minimum of two years of experience with PHP or JavaScript programming language
  • Functional skill with CSS and HTML
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Fast and independent learner
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of our organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with HubSpot or other CMS frameworks
  • Functional skill with databases, queries, and/or scripts
  • Knowledge of version control techniques using Git or BitBucket
  • E-commerce platform knowledge, such as ticketing and registration systems, payments systems, and/or shopping carts
