SCORR Wins at PRSA Nebraska Anvil Awards

SCORR Marketing Receives Three Awards for Successful Public Relations Campaigns

SCORR Marketing, a strategic marketing and public relations agency focused on marketing communications, corporate identity/branding, media communications, advertising and interactive/Web design and development, is a proud recipient of three 2011 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Nebraska Chapter Paper Anvil awards presented during PRSA’s Gala Awards Banquet in LaVista, Neb., on Thursday, December 8, 2011.

SCORR Marketing received two awards of excellence and one award of merit. An award of excellence is the highest award possible, followed by an award of merit.

The first award of excellence was from the Events and Observances (7 days or fewer) Business/Services category for a National Dog Day social media campaign for SCORR Marketing. This campaign encouraged SCORR Marketing’s Facebook followers to post pictures of their pets and, in exchange, a donation was made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) by SCORR Marketing.

Another award of excellence was given for the work completed by SCORR Marketing for the Firecrest campaign within the Business-to-Business Integrated Communications category. Firecrest, headquartered in Limerick, Ireland, is an e-technology solutions provider that enhances investigator site performance. SCORR Marketing created a detailed, step-by-step trade show plan that included promotional design pieces, social and traditional media and public relations activities.

In addition, SCORR Marketing received an award of merit for the Midway Auto Facebook giveaway campaign in the Marketing Consumer Non-packaged Goods category. Midway Auto is a locally owned car dealership in Kearney, Neb., which wanted to increase its followers’ awareness of its products and services via its Facebook company page. The campaign more than doubled the number of Midway Facebook followers within two weeks.

“These awards demonstrate the quality of work that our communications and public relations team brings to our clients,” stated SCORR Marketing President Cinda Orr. “We are honored to have received this recognition.”

The PRSA Nebraska Chapter hosts about 200 professionals as members and includes representatives from nonprofit, agency, corporate and government entities. More than 60 individuals and companies were recognized at PRSA’s annual awards gala. Awards were presented in 19 categories that ranged from integrated marketing communications campaigns to blogs and special events.

SCORR Marketing, a full-service marketing and public relations firm, currently provides services to distinctive global clients within the drug development, health care, agriculture, construction/development and senior living industries.
