SCORR Adds to Creative/Comm. Departments

SCORR Marketing Fortifies Creative and Communications Departments

SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing and public relations agency focused on corporate identity/branding, media communications, advertising and interactive/Web design and development, announced today three new additions to its creative and communications departments. Maggie Geist and Ryan Larsen join SCORR Marketing as copywriters and Chelsea Archer as a media and public relations assistant.

Geist, originally from Grand Island, received her Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). She has previous experience as a copywriting intern at Thought District and a social networking intern at Sheldon Museum of Art. While in college, Geist served as a member of the American Advertising Federation-Lincoln Chapter, the National Student Advertising Competition and the Nebraska Christian Student Fellowship.

Prior to joining SCORR Marketing, Larsen was a director/photographer/assistant producer/studio technician at Nebraska Television, located in Axtell. There, he specialized in behind-the-scene work involving the production and execution of nightly television newscasts. Larsen, of Fremont, received his Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). He was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Advertising/Public Relations (AD/PR) Club and Students in Mass Media (S.I.M.M.) and Lambda Pi Eta, two honorary communications groups.

Archer, originally from Beatrice, received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from UNK. She was involved in Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, S.I.M.M. and AD/PR Club. Her understanding in writing and proofreading, which she has gained from her experience as a Student Staff Writer and Features Editor, will provide her with the necessary skills in her position at SCORR Marketing.

“We are seeing an accelerated amount of growth in both our creative/copywriting and media/communications departments,” stated SCORR Marketing President and CEO, Cinda Orr. “Maggie, Ryan and Chelsea all seem to have the talent we look for to nurture that growth as we continue to provide our worldwide clientele with strategic marketing and communication activities. We are pleased to have them join our team in the Kearney office.”
