Chesapeake IRB Hires Randall Hein as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Chesapeake IRB, a leading provider of independent institutional review board services for the life science industry, has hired Randall Hein, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in operations, sales and consulting for life science organizations, as its senior vice president, sales and marketing.

“Randall brings a wealth of experience in clinical development and Phase I-III research,” said Jeffrey Wendel, president and chief executive officer at Chesapeake IRB. “His depth of industry experience makes him uniquely qualified to help shape Chesapeake IRB’s solutions to be even more customer-focused and accessible.”

Hein will focus on the expansion of Chesapeake IRB’s strategic relationships for clients who are looking for an IRB partner that is easy to work with and can deliver operational efficiencies.

Additionally, he will help further develop the company’s service offerings, including its unique, fully electronic platform, the Center for IRB Intelligence (CIRBI), which provides cloud-based

access to an entire ethics review project, accelerating cycle time and enabling proactive project management.

Before joining Chesapeake IRB, Hein held several senior-level positions in the life science industry. Most recently, he was senior vice president of clinical research services at PRA Health Sciences where he led U.S. pharmacological units conducting Phase I to III studies and managed associated scientific and data services. Prior to that, Hein was general manager at DaVita Clinical Research and held several senior positions at MDS Pharma Services including vice president of business development.
