BD Construction Begins Renovations and New Addition at Perkins County Schools
(Kearney, NE; September 3, 2014) — BD Construction, Inc., one of the Midwest’s leading construction companies, announces that construction has started at Perkins County Schools in Grant, Neb.
The project includes extensive renovations to the existing high school building and construction of a 32,000-square-foot addition. Managed by BD Construction, work at Perkins County Schools is expected to be completed in July 2015.
“This project will provide additional space to better accommodate the ever-growing needs of Perkins County Schools and the communities it serves,” said Mark Benjamin, president of BD Construction. “We look forward to helping create a school that reflects this district’s commitment to area youth.”
The construction project at the high school, which serves grades 9-12, includes a 21,874-square-foot first floor addition and a 9,700-square-foot second floor space. The addition will allow for a kitchen expansion and classrooms, a gymnasium, locker rooms, weight room, restrooms, commons area and storage. In addition, the existing building will be renovated to meet current fire, safety and accessibility regulations. Improvements will also be made to the administrative area, library and hallways.
