    SCORR Strengthens Team, and Announces Promotion

    Bentley, Harders and Orr Join SCORR Marketing; Keel Promoted

    SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing and public relations agency focused on corporate identity/branding, media communications, advertising, and interactive/Web design and development, is pleased to announce the addition of three new team members: Kelly Bentley, Lindsay Harders and Mark Orr; and the promotion of Erica Keel.

    Bentley, of Omaha, joins the SCORR Marketing team in the Omaha office as an account coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Iowa State University. She has previous experience at Make Believe Design Studio as a marketing and public relations assistant, and was an Internet assistant for both First Fleet Concerts and Department Three Design Studio.

    Harders, originally from Shelton, joins SCORR in the Kearney office as an account coordinator. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies, she has gained valuable experience, knowledge and expertise from her previous places of employment—The Governance Institute in Lincoln and the Kearney Hub in Kearney.

    Orr, of Kearney, will put to use his numerous years as a market researcher/project manager at Gallup and continue with many familiar tasks and responsibilities at SCORR, leading the market research and client loyalty initiatives through client satisfaction and lost opportunity surveys. He joins the team in the Kearney office.

    SCORR Hires Two Employees in Kearney Office

    SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing agency, has expanded its Kearney office with two new employees, Callie Erickson and Melissa Pohl. Erickson will join the media and public relations department, and Pohl will serve as editor and copywriter.

    Prior to joining SCORR, Erickson was a buying/merchandising assistant at the Buckle in Kearney and a summer tennis camp counselor at the Cliff Drysdale Southhampton Racquet Club in Southhampton, New York. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and focused her studies in mass communications and public relations. While a student at UNK, she was involved in Students in Mass Media, Advertising/Public Relations Club, and Varsity Tennis, and held the position of Media/Marketing Coordinator for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Erickson’s efforts will be focused in activities within the public and media relations team at SCORR Marketing.

    Pohl brings experience to SCORR Marketing as a former English and social studies instructor for Ogallala High School. As a certified instructor, she built curriculum focusing on modern problems and solutions and assisted in the one-to-one laptop initiative launch at the high school. Pohl earned a Bachelor of Science from Chadron State College, summa cum laude, with secondary education English and history endorsements. While at Chadron State College, she was involved on campus as the Historical Forum President, Sigma Tau Delta Treasurer, and editorial board member for CSC’s juried publication Outside the Lines. Pohl’s talents will be utilized for writing and editing copy for SCORR Marketing’s clients.

    Brandy Nichols Joins SCORR Marketing

    Brandy Nichols has joined SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing agency. Nichols will serve as a graphic designer for SCORR’s local and national client base.

    Prior to joining SCORR, Nichols was a designer with the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s department of publication design and creative services. She also has previous experience from other businesses including Eleven 19 in Omaha, Nebraska, and The Buckle, Morris Press and Artisan Photography in Kearney, Nebraska.

    “We are pleased to have Brandy as a member of SCORR’s creative department,” stated Ben Rowe, creative director of SCORR Marketing. “Given our diverse client base and increasing need for design capabilities to serve our clients, her talent, experience and background will be of great benefit to our company.”

    Nichols earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communications and design from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in May 2009. As a student she won several design awards from prestigious national organizations, including the ADDY® Awards and AIGA.

    SCORR Hires Business Development Representative

    Mark McGowan, a long-time Grand Island business and community leader, has joined SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing agency. Mark will lead SCORR’s business development efforts with a concentrated effort throughout the state of Nebraska, as well as within the international drug development/health care industries.

    Prior to joining SCORR, Mark was a senior professional healthcare consultant for Pfizer, Inc. He gained over nineteen years of territory sales management experience and managed a highly successful territory with sales and promotion of blockbuster pharmaceutical products. Mark accomplished several achievements and awards during his tenure with Pfizer. In addition, he is currently the Grand Island Central Catholic Foundation Board President. Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biological science from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.

    Justin Rolfes Joins SCORR Marketing

    Justin Rolfes, a University of Nebraska-Kearney graduate, has joined SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing agency. Justin will serve as an account executive for SCORR’s local and national client base.

    Prior to joining SCORR, Justin was with Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with a primary focus on the athletic department. He assisted with the development of the 2008 marketing plan and implementation strategy, designed marketing materials, and assisted with in-game promotions. In addition, Justin served as the public announcement assistant at the 2008 Men’s College World Series. Justin also brings experience as the owner/founder of Rolfco Apparel and Promotional Products, a company which provides artwork and layout for promotional products.

    We are very excited to have Justin as a member of our team,” said Cinda Orr, president of SCORR Marketing. “His experience, enthusiasm, and background make him an ideal fit for our team. Justin is a great example of the high caliber of individuals that come from Nebraska’s university system. We are pleased to have such local talent.”

    Justin Rolfes earned a bachelor of science in sports and business administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in August 2008. As a student-athlete on the UNK football team, he was a three-time varsity letter winner and the 2007 Kay Payne Award runner-up.

    SCORR Marketing Adds New Employees

    SCORR Marketing, a Nebraska-based strategic marketing agency, recently expanded their business development, account executive and media teams with two new employees, Christine Wigert and Kelly Norrie.

    Christine joins the Omaha SCORR Marketing office as a junior account executive. Christine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production with emphases in advertising/public relations and new media from Hastings College, and was very active on campus as the yearbook editor-in-chief, Advertising Club president, and dance team captain. She also gained experience serving as the advertising and Web developer of Jewelry Design Studio in Hastings and as an intern at the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce; her skills will benefit the SCORR team in numerous ways.

    Kelly, a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, joins the Kearney SCORR Marketing office as the media buyer and public relations specialist. Kelly completed a study abroad program at Oxford University in the United Kingdom and was a leader on campus as a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and the president of the College of Business Administration Student Advisory Board. Her internship experiences at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, UNL Office of Admissions and Olsson Associates will be an asset to SCORR.
