SCORR is a full-service marketing firm headquartered in Kearney, Neb., specializing in life sciences and working with clients worldwide. We're seeking a full-time copywriter to join our team. This position is for our Kearney office, but we are open to considering placement in our Omaha office.

Our ideal candidate would (responsibilities):

  • Provide copy for branding and all marketing media, including print and digital ads, websites, emails, brochures, white papers, articles, etc.
  • Work alongside our account and design teams daily, as well as other departments as necessary
  • Compose copy for multiple clients, handling several projects per week
  • Think visually to aid our designers and, on the flipside, make any image worth a 1,000 words
  • Work magic with little or lots of info
  • Give and take strategic direction to guide the development of projects to their full potential
  • Perform independent research to guide projects as necessary
  • Meet roller-coaster timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • See concepts from our clients' shoes (and from their clients') to create effective messaging and branding concepts
  • Dig into trends in marketing, writing, design or anything else that can compel great work

Bonus points for:

  • B2B writing experience
  • Technical, scientific and/or medical writing experience
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, website/SEO and video storyboarding processes
  • Agency experience


  • At least one year of advertising, marketing and/or corporate communications writing experience

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, early adopter, with extensive WordPress experience, who strives to produce cutting-edge applications and websites for our clients and agency. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience, and the personality and creative vision to fit our high-energy, high-tech, company culture. This is a full-time position at our Kearney, NE location.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop, and launch digital projects to specified requirements within a set timeline
  • Write code that adheres to coding standards and is clear, well-commented, easy to maintain and free of bugs
  • Collaborate with design and strategy teams
  • Research and provide technical solutions
  • Raise potential issues in a timely manner that may impact the overall success and timeline of a project
  • Enforce standards and develops processes for the agency
  • Communicate and present information clearly in verbal, written and visual formats

Desired Skills and Experience
